On April 17, Kyongnam Bank donated £Ü200 million to the projects for establishing primary schools in Pyeongyang and providing agricultural equipments to North Korea, which are promoted by South Gyeongsang Local Government.
Kyoung-Duck Jung, CEO of the bank, visited South Gyeongsang Province Office and handed £Ü200 million to the Kyongnam Unification & Agriculture Cooperation Foundation.
It will be used for the establishment of primary schools and support of agricultural equipments in Jangkyo-ri, Gangnam-goon, Pyeongyang, North Korea, which are being promoted by South Gyeongsang Local Government as a project of South-North economic exchange and cooperation.
Kyoung-Duck Jung, CEO of the bank, said, "As a representative financial institution in South Gyeongsang province, we look forward to contributing to the promotion of South-North economic exchange and cooperation, and to further laying foundation for the improvement of South-North relations and establishment of mutual trust."
The local government's projects will be expected to activate thanks to our donation.
